As we make clear on our Philosophy page, making beer is only part of the Meantime mission. Educating people about beer is central to what we do too. Here is the place where we provide information about ourselves, other than our beers, brewing in general and what we believe.

Beer is a huge subject and its impact on human development, civilisation and society is immense. As The Reverend Sydney Smith (1771-1845) famously said "What two ideas are more inseparable than beer and Britannia." This story is brought up to date with the history of Meantime, and we also outline our Philosophy of Beer. We then condense it into simple practical terms based on our twin beliefs in the virture of beer maturation and the vice of pasteurisation.
